Almost great - but too sweetFeb 28, 2010 Let me preface this review by stating that taste is surely a subjective judgement. That being said, I think this chai mix is too sweet, and the sweetness overpowers the taste of the spices. If they'd tone down the sugar a little bit, they would have a real winner here.
I am a Chai LoverFeb 23, 2010 I love hot milk chai and this is no disappointment. I keep a can at home and one in my office. It does OK with just hot water too.

It tastes fake...Feb 18, 2010 Based on the reviews and the word 'Chai' on the container, I decided to try it... I am disappointed... The taste reminds me of the latte freeze you can buy at Costco... or the taste of the Starbuck's Bottled Frappachino's and powdered Nescafe latte. Its really sugary and not at all spicy. It has a fake non dairy milk taste to it... If you are hoping for a taste similar to Oregon or Tazo Chai Concentrate... this is not the way to go... I might drink it if I run out of Chai flavored tea bags or hot cocoa or palpable water... but I have a feeling it will be living on my kitchen shelf for a very long time... I tried all the variations on how to prepare it, listed on the back of the container, and none of them inspired me to 'want' to drink the stuff...
Good, but it tastes low on actual ChaiFeb 13, 2010 Ok theres a reason that this is rated so highly and that is because it tastes good and its a total steal for over 3 pounds at 15 dollars but the taste is big on milky, and sugary but low on actual spice. I would have preferred something with a little more chai flavor, but its very reasonably priced so I guess you really cant go wrong.
Wonderful Flavor!Feb 11, 2010 I use to buy "Trader Joe" spicy chai tea, but it was getting expensive because I live in Arkansas and there are no Trader Joe's around, so I would have my sister-in-law buy it and bring to me from Atlanta when she visited, well it was such a hassle. So, I set out to find another Chai latte and tried Big Train, and lol' and behold it is every bit as good or better than Trader Joe's (not to mention more cost effective). Also, I was at the airport and decided to get a Starbucks Chai Tea Latte while I waited for my flight, I don't know if it was the little girl that made it or just "Starbucks" in general, but it was terrible, I took one sip and threw away my $4.50 latte...yuck...and as cheap as I am, that really hurt!!
