My personal favorite barbecue sauceJun 05, 2006

If there is one thing I love more than life itself it is ribs. I absolutely love a good rack of babyback or spareribs. Of course what is ribs without sauce? Of all the barbecue sauces that I have tried over the years and I have tried a lot, my personal favorite is the honey barbecue sauce from Cattlemen's. I don't drown my ribs in sauce but I do like to put enough sauce on them so it compliments the dry rub and the meat, and this is the sauce I use all the time. I have tried a lot of honey barbecue sauces but with a lot of them, I can't really tell if the company used honey or brown sugar. Here with Cattlemen's honey barbecue sauce, I can actually taste the honey.

I LOVE BBQ. I have tried dozens of sauces over the years. I was living in Derby, KS and we kept going to this one BBQ place called the QQQ QQQQ because I LOVED their sauce. I would tell my wife, this sauce has a wonderful honey flavor to it and compliments the food perfectly. One day at the local grocery, she picked up a bottle of Cattleman's Honey BBQ sauce and we make some chicken. I took my first taste and SHAZAM!!!!!!!! It was the same taste as my favorite BBQ joint in Derby, Ks!!! So over the years I have had Rudy's, Soony Bryan's, Sweet Baby Rays, KC MasterP, Budweiser, Kraft, Jack Daniels, Big Ricks, Roadkill Sauce, Red Hot and Blues sauce, a mild thing called Sissy Sauce, and even the famous Salt-Lick TX sauce. I like all of them, love a few of them but I always some back to Cattleman's Honey BBQ. It is the BEST!
