I have been experimenting with my own rubs for the last couple of years and decided to give this one a try. The flavor is pretty good and works well with pork, it doesn't have enough heat for my liking but it works for my family. The price on Amazon was about 66% less than what I found in the store so it was worth the investment.

I run an electric can water smoker about once a week - mostly tri-tip - and pretty much this spice rub has replaced everything else I use. It's got the basic ingredients - salt, pepper, onion, garlic, paprika, touch of cumin - no mustard - and you could probably throw together a similar mixture a little cheaper from the raw ingredients. But why bother? The proportions are right and it tastes so good with a little hickory or mesquite smoke on a nice cut of meat.
I got tired of running out so I bought a 12 pack. Best meat-related investment I ever made.

I don't usually leave reviews, but this product is worth every penny - it's awesome! Use it with Stubb's Moppin' Sauce on ribs and you won't need ANY barbeque sauce when you sit down to eat. We use a lot of Stubb's products and have abandoned the traditional brand labels.
