By Gary A. Backlund We have tried a number of different Cajun seasoning and this blend is the best! Not too salty and the right amount of heat.

Durkees vs Tone's Cajun SeasoningJul 13, 2009
By Mark A. Fouts
"SECURITY OUTLET INC"
I bought both tone's louisiana style cajun seasoning and Durkees (made by Tone) to see if there was a difference as I love Durkees and Tones is half the price. With Durkee being made by tone and the ingredients read the same and in the same order...I was hopeing for a cheaper version at the same great taste. Louisiana Style was finer ground (not so much great texture), hotter (more cyan pepper) and although a good product...not the same as the Durkee's cajun which is courser with lots more bold flavors like garlic and less hot. I even put durkee's cajun on salads it is soo good. Giving away the louisiana to a friend who likes the heat better while I am keeping with the more expensive but bolder fuller flavored Durkees.

Tones Seasoning MixApr 09, 2012

A little more than buying at Sam's Club or Costco... but, not much for the convenience of not having to buy the new membership and free shipping on Prime! We love our New Mexico Mexican food flavoring and Tones does an excellent job of combining the spices just the way we like them here. Worth every cent.
very saltyJan 30, 2012
By dtumd I do like this seasoning, but compared to other cajun seasonings i've tried, it tastes extremely salty to me. Just personal opinion.
