Fresh and spicyJun 03, 2011
By Goosecat I was tired of grocery store red pepper flakes that were stale and lacking in heat so I gave Tone's a try. I was surprised to find fresh chili oil on my fingers when I opened the package. I thought this was a good sign and it was. These peppers taste fresher and spicier than any I've bought at the grocery store. We'll see how long they stay that way but so far so good.

This large jar tasted the same as the smaller bottles. Much cost efficient ordering this way. I guess I use a lot of pepper flakes. I was very happy with this purchase.
When you want heat, and not salt and vinegarSep 15, 2011

I absolutely adore hot food, like what most folks would consider crazy hot. I've tried dumping on the sriracha,s, the habanero sauces, the chili garlic pastes, etc. But I'm also dumping on tons of salt and vinegar and other off elements that I'm not looking for (sugar?). If you want hot, and convenient, pile this stuff on whatever you are eating and enjoy. My favorite is a bowl of plain brown rice (from the big container in the freezer) with a dash of soy sauce, a small handful of unsalted peanuts, and tons and tons of crushed red pepper. Wet dishes/soups tend to activate it even more, or make your own paste with just water. Mmmm, life is good :)

It fits my expectation.Dec 10, 2010
By grbooks The spiciness of this product is slightly lower than the Jalapeno chili pepper and I like it. The quality is good and package is convenient.

Much more efficient than small bottlesNov 13, 2011
By B. Pearce I eat scandalous amounts of red pepper on various foods (pizza and chili mostly) and I have tried a lot of different brands. Most are of questionable quality or contain too much fine powder that induces sneezing. Tone's Red Pepper is the good stuff. Look no further if you take your crushed red pepper seriously. On a side note, you can probably find this stuff cheaper at most brick-and-mortar stores that sell things (like spices, candy, whatever) in bulk. I sure did.
