Great with steaks!Sep 09, 2006

I learned about this spice blend from one of my favorite lunch spots that has a terrific grilled steak lunch special. Being a regular, the owner let me in on "the secret". It was Tone's Canadian Steak Seasoning. Just sprinkle it on and press it into both sides and grill. Its great at enhancing flavor and adding some "garlic bite". But be careful to not put on too much, it is chock full of flavor.
I also make a marinade for shish-kabobs with it adding red wine vinegar and olive oil. This has become a well-loved family favorite. I haven't yet tried it on other foods. It is so ideally suited for beef I feel it might be too much for chicken, shrimp, or other lighter meats. But on steaks... it is The Bomb... highly recommended!

Great Seasoning for RoastsApr 10, 2007
By L. Good I use this seasoning on all the roasts I cook (beef or pork). This is the only thing I use (in place of onion, salt and pepper). Be careful not to use too much as it is seems to have a lot of pepper in it. The broth also makes very good gravy.

My favorite seasoning - EVERMar 11, 2010
By kaycee We use this on everything - steak, chops, chicken, fish, eggs - you name it! No additional salt or pepper required, great in fresh guacamole and salsa! I was disturbed to find that Sam's Club no longer carries it, but glad to see it hasn't disappeared. Am going to try one more place locally, and if they don't have it, Amazon, here I come! None of my food tastes quite right without it!

This is as good ad Montreal Seasoning and a lot less expensive. Sam's doesn't carry it anymore, so I'm glad Amazon does.

Spice up your life . . . memories of great outdoors and beyondApr 08, 2008
By Hugh Mcloone Two years ago, I first experienced Tone's Canadian Steak Seasoning on a week-long canoe trip in the boundary waters of Quetico in Ontario, Canada. The trip leader used it on our morning breakfast eggs, sprinkling it on just after the scrabbled eggs hit the hot skillet. Just a little sprinkle was all it took to take the eggs to another level. As a gift, he gave me a large Tone's restaurant-sized container. I use it every time I make eggs, sprinkling on the Tone's, then some grated cheese. My supply has twindled because I bought little spice jars to share the seasoning with friends at Christmas holidays. One friend broke up with her boyfriend and she was worried about "who would get the Tone's Canadian Steak Seasoning." She got the Tone's!
